Tarik El-Kabbani, born January 20, 1977. At the age of 6 the flute was mainly used for back scratching before he switched to playing the organ. When the shoes (size 44) missed the pedals another way had to be found to make music. Besides the piano and the guitar he started slowly but steady to brighten his voice. The best way to do so were the vocal coaching as well as rehersals with the Gospal Choir "Jambalaya". After "Hallelujah" and "Just tell Jesus" religious songs were out of question for the time being. Since then there were more solo performances and several recordings. |
